The Home Pool Essentials™ Maintenance and Safety (HPE) course is a two-hour, online educational program with printable 30-page resource guide that has been developed to make pool care easier, and to help pool owners learn how to make their pool or hot tub environment safer. Participants will be trained on how to maintain their pool/hot tub between service appointments and help reduce risk to family, friends, and neighbors by taking simple steps to prevent, prepare for and respond to aquatic emergencies. The online resource is available to registered users for 6 months and a printable record of completion provides documentation of successful completion. The program was developed jointly by the National Swimming Pool Foundation® (NSPF®) and the American Red Cross. Pool and hot tub owners can learn more about the program at www.homepoolessentials.org
